The Scenar therapy is used for pain, both acute and chronic in nature.
Pain causes muscles to contract (cramp), and this in turn gives more pain because the blood flow and lymph flow are being cut off. The Scenar device works with amplitude and wavelength differences AM (amplitude modulation) in which the amplitude of the wave varies in height and with FM (frequency modulation) in which the wavelength varies.
The Scenar has two metal surfaces which make contact with the skin surface. A small electrical current runs between these two metal surfaces. Due to this current the subcutaneous muscles are alternately contracted and relaxed, depending on the modulation. This creates a strong blood circulation and an improved lymphatic flow, so the pain goes away.
