The Breuss massage is a massage that is especially designed for the intervertebral discs. Most backaches are caused by squeezed and dried out discs that have made the skeleton collapse. In the medical world it is said that your discs are worn out and nothing can be done.
Rudolf Breuss discovered that there was no question of wearing out of the discs. The discs can degenerate but it is also possible to revitalize them with the use of St. John's Wort Oil. Breuss compared this to a sponge. He said: When a wet sponge is put under pressure for a long period of time, the water is squeezed out and it becomes dry and flat. If you then put water over the sponge it gets back its original form and elasticity. The same rule also applies for the intervertebral discs: when you rub the St. John's Wort oil on the spine, the discs will suck themselves full, they expand and become soft and smooth.
You can use the Breuss-massage successfully and without any danger in case of severe backache. Actually it is suitable whenever the locomotion of the body is hindered especially in the area of the sacrum.
You can combine the Breuss-massage very well with the Dorn method, both before and after. We use the Breuss-massage before a Dorn-method when the body is very tense. When we use the massage after the Dorn method, the spine becomes more stretched, in this way we can open the physical and energetic blockades much more easily.
Rudolf Breuss (1899-1990)
How does it work?
I rub the back with St. John's Wort oil. Then I massage the back and I stretch your spine a little.
It is a gentle and beneficent treatment which makes your back pliable again.
